Well, I'm in the deadline dungeon. Lots of writing. I keep telling my husband, this is the year of writing, next year will be the year of promoting! lol! Some days the writing flows, others....ah....not so much.

Just wanted to give a shout out to all my blogger buddies who spread the word--and the love about Velvet Haven. It's selling very well, and getting really good reviews! Also, a big thanks to all the readers who've gone out and bought a copy--THANKS!!!!!!

I'll be beginning book 2, which is tentatively titled Mists of Velvet next month. I've written a few scenes here and there, but I'll start the book when I'm finished with LUST, under the Charlotte Featherstone name!

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everyone's support for this series!!!! I hope Mists will live up to Velvet Haven! And, in case you're wondering, Rhys MacDonald, will be the hero of the next book. I've already had some readers ask if we'll see more of Suriel and Keir, and if we'll find out more about Rowan. The answer is YES!!!!

So, for the next six weeks, I'll be in my historical fantasy world, with the Dark Fey Princes. We see a bit of Niall, the King of the Unseelie Court in Lust. But first and foremost, we meet Lust, whose name is Thane. Joining Thane on his escapades to the mortal realm is Envy;Thane's Twin brother. As well as Vanity, and also Gluttony. I can't tell you how typing Gluttony makes me smile. He's a not a corpulent guy, but an absolute hedonist! lol! Here's some inspiring pics of the princes. As well, the photo at the top is of the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey. It figures heavily in the opening of Vanity's book. I hope to get to see it--and Glastonbury in real life. I'm planning a research trip to England next May, and I'm going to spend quite a bit of my time between London and Glastonbury!

New Series Alert...Beating VFG to the Punch!

Hey gang! Well, I'm busy writing, but not busy enough it seems! I found a new series that looks really cool, and I'm dying for July to get here. VFG from Lovin Me Some Romance blog ALWAYS gets the deets on covers, and series first. So, this time, I'm gonna beat her!

I would like to say that this little gem was found due to my stellar sleuthing abilities, but I'll admit that I saw it on Anna's To Read update at Goodreads. I was intrigued by the series title, and then I went to the author's website to learn more. I've been searching for a good historical fantasy, that's sexy and romantic. I hope this one fits the bill!

Okay, so Barbara tagged me for this, and I thought it'd be fun to do. You know me and my writer's imagination....

Okay, so here is the deal. I write down seven things about me, five of which are lies, and two that are the truth. I'm gonna do a twist though, I'm gonna add a big fat secret to the end, and you're gonna tell me if it's true...or false...

1. I love my job as a nurse

2. Sophie is my REAL first name

3. My favorite time to read is late at night.

4. My favorite time to write is very early in the morning when it's still dark outside.

7. Out of all the heroes I've written, Lord Wallingford is my least favorite.

And for the big fat secret...I once had a one night stand with a guy who I had met just that night, and now I can't remember his name......... :) True or Big Fat Lie????
